Koppu Typhoon reached the northern part of Philippines with heavy rain. Two people died, five injured and ten thousands of citizens had to leave their homes. In the photo residents in the south of Luzon region are saving their belongings. (BBC)
Constant rain implies the highest risk in the country. The expected amount of precipitate is more than one metre in next few days. That is double of how much London gets in a whole year. In the photo a man looks at the rising water of the Magat River in Bayombong. (CNN)
Although the Japanese Weather Agency, which is responsible for naming and tracking the Koppu, downgraded it to a severe tropical storm, the Philippines own agency still considers it as a typhoon. They issues updates in every 12 hours on the storm that they call Lando. (Telegraph)
